There are a few basic variations of real wasabi sauce that compliment fish dishes perfectly, however, Wasabi is not just for sushi and fish dishes, it is also a great flavor enhancer for vegetables, salads, noodle dishes, chicken and beef. Wasabi also makes a wonderful additional to dips for Japanese dumplings.
In addition to soy sauce or tamari, wasabi is also complimented by ginger, sesame, garlic and even lime make for very tasty flavor combinations.
