4 Versatile Wasabi Recipes

4 Versatile Wasabi Recipes

There are a few basic variations of real wasabi sauce that compliment fish dishes perfectly, however, Wasabi is not just for sushi and fish dishes, it is also a great flavor enhancer for vegetables, salads, noodle dishes, chicken and beef. Wasabi also makes a wonderful additional to dips for Japanese dumplings.

In addition to soy sauce or tamari, wasabi is also complimented by ginger, sesame, garlic and even lime make for very tasty flavor combinations.

Here are 4 recipes that can complement a wide variety of dishes.

#2 Wasabi Lime Dressing

This dressing goes with several things, but I prefer it best with chicken and fish meals either as a dressing or a dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup lightly seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp Real Wasabi powder, more to taste if you like
  • 1/4 tsp. Cold Water [enough to make stiff paste with the wasabi powder]
  • juice of 1 small lime
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Method

Make Wasabi Paste by mixing Real Wasabi 100% Pure Wasabi Powder with cold water to make a stiff paste. Cover and set aside for 5 minutes.

Mix together other ingredients. Add Wasabi Powder and stir until all ingredients well mixed.

This dressing can be stored, covered, in a fridge for several days. Stir well before use.
